NQB Security is Nikalaus Bowyer, a sole trader installing and servicing security systems across South East Brisbane. The business trades under its own licence since 2025, following years of subcontract project work. The point of the model is direct responsibility: the person who sees the site is the person accountable for the result.
A security system only reveals whether it was installed properly at the exact moment it needs to work. That belief drives everything here: installs built to a higher standard because failure is not recoverable, documentation at every handover so no system depends on one person’s memory, and a phone that gets answered after the invoice is paid. Most of our work comes from people a previous installer let down. We would rather earn referrals than run ads promising things.

Based in Brisbane, working across the south east: most jobs sit within about forty minutes of the city, with further travel for commercial work and existing clients.

Nikalaus does. The person who quotes your job installs it and comes back when it needs attention. For overflow there is a subcontractor network rather than a queue, and because every site is documented, nobody who attends is starting from guesswork.
Yes. NQB Security holds a Queensland security firm licence, is an ASIAL member, and carries public liability insurance. Installing security equipment for someone else in Queensland legally requires this licence, so it is worth asking any installer for theirs.
The business has traded since 2025, built on years of prior large project security work as a subcontractor for other companies. That project background is why apartment buildings, strata jobs and multi-site commercial work sit comfortably inside what a one person firm here can deliver.
