An alarm only reveals whether it was installed properly at the exact moment it needs to work. We build to that standard.
No obligation, and no one will chase you afterwards.
A well installed alarm does two jobs: it deters, and it tells the right person the moment something is wrong. NQB Security installs alarm systems for homes and commercial sites across South East Brisbane, working mainly with Bosch, Inner Range Inception and Ajax. Every install ends with a walkthrough, because if your household or your staff cannot arm and disarm the system without thinking, the install has failed.
The alarm gets built around your opening hours and who needs access, not the other way around.

Bosch is the backbone of most of our residential and small commercial installs: reliable, well supported in Australia, and familiar to any competent technician, which matters years from now. Inception suits sites that want alarm and access control on one platform. Ajax is the wireless option for homes and sites where cabling is impractical, without the flakiness of retail DIY kits. We will recommend one based on your site, not on what is in the van.
The site visit maps entry points, movement paths and the areas worth protecting, and it is where we talk honestly about pets, teenagers and the false-trigger patterns that make people stop arming their alarm. The install covers detectors positioned for coverage rather than convenience, the panel and keypad or app setup, sirens and strobes, and battery backup. Then the walkthrough: everyone who will use the system arms it and disarms it before we leave.
For homes, the aim is a system the whole household actually uses. Arm it from the app on the way out, get a notification if something triggers, and check the cameras if you have them, all without a monitoring contract unless you decide you want one. If you have an old alarm from a previous owner and no idea whether it works, that is a common starting point. We will assess it.
For homes, the usual brief is simple: cover the front entry, the driveway and the back approach, viewable from your phone, without a subscription you did not agree to. If you have a half-working DIY kit, bring it up at the site visit. Sometimes parts are worth keeping; we will tell you either way.
Commercial alarms need user codes per staff member, arm and disarm reporting, and integration with access control and monitoring. A site that has not been armed since March because a staff member left with the code is a story we hear often; per-user codes and a documented handover are how it stops happening.
Every alarm we install can run self-monitored through the app, back to base, or both. There is no lock-in and no bundled contract. When you are ready to consider monitoring, what it covers and what it costs is set out before you agree.

A fault path for systems that have stopped working or been left undocumented.
Price depends on the number of detectors, wired versus wireless, and whether the panel integrates with cameras or access control. A site visit gives you a firm written quote with the reasoning in it.
No. Monitoring is optional and priced separately. Plenty of clients run self-monitored through the app and add back to base later if they want it. If you do add monitoring, what it covers is set out before you agree to anything, and there is no long lock-in.
Yes, and please do not just stop arming it, which is what most people do. False triggers usually trace to an aging detector, a pet-related placement problem or a failing battery. We diagnose the cause rather than replacing the system, and most false-trigger faults are fixed in a single visit. Call 1300 153 645 and say it is a fault.
Usually, yes. We service and take over existing Bosch systems and older Tecom and Challenger panels, among others. We inspect it, tell you honestly whether it is worth keeping, and document it either way. If the honest answer is that it is not worth keeping, we will tell you that too.
No, and this is something we treat as part of the job rather than your problem. Before we leave, everyone who will use the system arms and disarms it themselves, on the keypad and the app. There are also written guides for the things people forget, so you are not texting us at 9pm to ask what a beep means.
