Control the doors that matter. We build the access path around your people, your opening hours and the areas that need to stay protected.
No obligation, and no one will chase you afterwards.
Access control replaces keys with credentials. Staff badge in with a card, fob or phone, doors lock and unlock on a schedule, and you have a record of who went where. NQB Security installs access control systems for offices, warehouses, clinics and multi-site businesses across South East Brisbane, working mainly with Inner Range Inception and Integriti. Every system is configured on site, tested with your staff, and documented at handover.
The equipment comes after the doors, people and access permissions have been mapped.

The equipment comes after the site rules. Before anything is mounted, we map the doors, the user groups and the access permissions: who gets in, through which doors, at what times, and what happens after hours. Then the install covers readers and credentials at each controlled door, the controller and power supplies, lock hardware suited to each door type, and the software configuration that makes the rules real. You are shown how to add and remove users yourself, because a staff member leaving on a Friday should not require a callout.
We install Inner Range because it is Australian-made, well supported, and scales from a two door office to a multi-site operation without a rip and replace. Inception suits most small commercial sites: browser-based, no software licence fees, and straightforward for staff to run day to day. Integriti is the step up for larger or multi-site operations that need centralised control. If you already have Inner Range gear from a previous installer, we can usually take it over, expand it and document it.
Most access control problems we get called to are not equipment failures. They are knowledge failures: nobody knows the master code, nobody knows which controller runs which door, and the installer who set it up stopped answering years ago. Every system we finish comes with a written record of the controller, doors, credential types and user groups, in plain language. If we ever part ways, you hand that record to the next technician and they start from knowledge instead of a screwdriver and a guess.
A childcare centre, a trades supply warehouse and an allied health clinic do not need the same system. Opening patterns, visitor handling and compliance requirements all change the design. The site visit is where we work through yours. For businesses running two or more sites, the goal is one system, one credential per staff member, and one number to call.
Inherited a system nobody can explain? We inspect what is installed, tell you what is worth keeping, document it and become the point of contact for it. Most takeovers do not require replacement.
01
Doors, credentials and site records that do not leave the next person guessing.
02
Cameras positioned to identify people and footage you can find when it matters.
03
Systems that staff and households can arm and disarm without a manual.
04
Apartment, strata and commercial entry systems with a documented handover.
06
A fault path for systems that have stopped working or been left undocumented.
A single controlled door costs considerably less than most business owners expect, and multi-door systems are quoted per site because door hardware and cabling runs vary. A site visit gives you a firm number; anyone quoting over the phone is guessing.
Access controlled doors are usually powered to lock, so a failed power supply or battery can lock the building out. Call 1300 153 645 and say it is a fault. Because your system is documented, diagnosis starts from the record rather than from scratch, which is usually the difference between a quick fix and a long morning in the car park.
Yes. Inner Range systems support mobile credentials alongside cards and fobs, and most sites run a mix. Cards suit high staff turnover, fobs suit trades and warehouses, and mobile credentials suit managers who never lose their phone but always lose their card. We will recommend the mix that suits how your site actually runs.
Usually, yes. Inception and Integriti are built to expand, and adding doors to a documented system is straightforward work. If your system was installed by someone else, we start with an inspection to confirm the controller has capacity and the wiring is sound, then quote the expansion.
If keys are working for you, keep them. Access control earns its cost when keys start failing you: a staff member leaves with a key and you face rekeying every lock, or you need different access for different people at different times, or you need a record of who entered. If any of those sound familiar, it is time.
