For when you want to walk out the door without doing the mental sweep of whether the back slider was locked.
No obligation, and no one will chase you afterwards.
A good home security system is one you stop thinking about. The alarm arms itself into a routine, the cameras are there when you want to check the house from the airport, and if something ever does happen at 2am, you find out immediately instead of at breakfast. NQB Security installs home security systems across South East Brisbane: alarms, cameras and video intercoms, set up so everyone in the house can actually use them.
Most homes land on some combination of three things. An alarm covering entries and movement paths, armed from a keypad or your phone. Cameras on the front entry, driveway and back approach, viewable from anywhere. And for some homes, a video doorbell or intercom so you can see and speak to whoever is at the door without opening it. You do not need all three on day one; systems we install are built to be added to.
Plenty of homes have a camera the previous owners left, an alarm nobody has coded, or a DIY kit where one camera has been offline since Christmas. Bring it up at the site visit. We will tell you honestly what is worth keeping, what is genuinely dead, and what a previous installer got right. Sometimes the answer is a $0 fix and a walkthrough; we will tell you that too.
A four camera system usually lands between $2,000 and $3,500 installed. Alarm systems vary with the number of detectors and whether they are wired or wireless. We publish ranges because researching cost before choosing an installer is exactly what a sensible person does, and quotes that vary from $2,400 to $7,000 with no explanation are why people distrust this industry. A real quote still needs a site visit; the reasoning comes written into it.
Every system we install works self-monitored through the app at no ongoing cost. Back to base monitoring is available if you want someone watching at 2am, priced per month with what it covers set out first. There is no bundled three year contract and no salesperson calling you four times in a week.
If your household cannot arm and disarm the system without thinking, the install has failed. Before we leave, everyone uses it, on the keypad and the app, and there are written guides for the things people forget. The person who installed it is the person who answers the phone about it afterwards, on the same number.

A fault path for systems that have stopped working or been left undocumented.
A four camera system usually costs $2,000 to $3,500 installed. An alarm system adds up depending on the number of detectors and whether it is wired or wireless. The quote you receive is written, itemised and explained, so you can see exactly what accounts for the number.
Sometimes, and we will tell you honestly either way. Common outcomes: keeping cameras that are placed well and replacing the failed hub, or keeping nothing because the night footage cannot identify anyone, which is usually why people call. The site visit answer costs you nothing and comes with no chasing afterwards.
No. Your system works self-monitored through the app at no monthly cost, and plenty of households run exactly that. Back to base monitoring is optional, and set out in writing before you agree. You can add it later without changing any equipment.
No. You own the equipment outright, monitoring (if you choose it) carries no long lock-in terms, and the app does not carry a surprise subscription. If a company goes quiet in three years, your system keeps working; that is a design decision, not luck.
No. The system is set up around your household’s routine, everyone practises arming and disarming it before we leave, and written guides cover the rest. If someone in the house cannot use it confidently, tell us and we simplify it. An alarm that is too fiddly to arm protects nobody.
