Security Systems / QLD
NQB Security installs and services alarms, CCTV, access control and intercoms in Wynnum and surrounds.
Access control, CCTV, alarms and intercoms planned around how your site actually works.
When something stops working, call the person who knows the system rather than a call centre.
Every job is installed with a clear handover so the next technician is never guessing.
Six services, one person accountable for all of them.
NQB Security is Nikalaus Bowyer. He quotes the job, does the job, and comes back when something needs attention. There is no account manager, no dispatcher, and no technician turning up who has never seen your building.
He has been installing and servicing security systems since 2025 under his own licence, and for years before that on large project work for other companies. That background is why a twenty-four unit intercom upgrade and a nine-storey rooftop camera run are ordinary weeks rather than a stretch.
Licensed security firm under Queensland law. ASIAL member, which satisfies the industry association requirement for a Queensland security licence. Fully insured.
Systems fail. Batteries die, power supplies drop out, and a door that is powered to lock stays locked with fifteen staff in the car park. What separates installers is the hours after that. The fault path is direct: you call the person who understands the system, not a call centre and ticket number.
Whoever quoted your site installed it and will be the one who comes back. Nobody needs briefing twice, and nothing gets lost between a salesperson and a technician.
At handover you get a record of what is installed, where it runs and how it is configured. If we ever part ways you are not left with a cupboard full of equipment nobody can identify.
We publish what things generally cost, because being kept in the dark about price is a poor start to a relationship. A real quote still needs a site visit, but you should not have to book one to find out whether you can afford it.
01
Tell us what you have got and what is bothering you about it. If something is broken right now, say so and we will treat it that way.
02
No obligation, and nobody will chase you afterwards. Quotes for security work given over the phone without seeing the property are guesses.
03
What we recommend, what we have left out and why, and what it costs. If it will not work on your site, we will tell you before you spend money.
04
If your household or staff cannot arm and disarm it without thinking, the install has failed. You also get documentation of what was installed and where it runs.
05
Same number you called the first time. This is the part most installers get wrong and the reason most of our work comes from people someone else let down.
We publish what things cost and how they work, because most people want to understand what they are buying before they talk to anyone.
Based in Brisbane and working across the south east. Most of our jobs are within about forty minutes of the city, and we go further for commercial work and for existing clients.
Straight answers to the things people ask before they call.
A four camera residential system usually lands between $2,000 and $3,500 installed, depending on cable runs, camera choice and where the recorder goes. Commercial sites vary far more because coverage requirements and cabling distances do. Anyone quoting you a number over the phone without seeing the property is guessing.
Salt air corrodes housings, brackets and any connector that is not properly sealed. The camera keeps powering up while the image degrades, so most people do not notice until they need footage. Marine-rated housings and sealed terminations fix it, and they are worth specifying from day one.
Yes. Shared entries, car parks and lift lobbies are routine work, and we deal with body corporate committees and building managers directly. We document the install so the building is not dependent on us to understand its own system.
Sometimes, for a while. The problems are placement (under-house and rear stair access points get missed), Wi-Fi dropouts through timber and VJ walls, and housings that corrode. What you buy from an installer is placement, cabling and someone who answers the phone in two years.
No. Monitoring is optional and priced separately. Plenty of clients self-monitor through the app and add back to base later if they want it.
Usually, yes. We will need to come and see what is there first, because the honest answer depends on how it was wired and whether the head end is worth keeping. If it is not, we will tell you that too. Taking over existing Bosch, Hikvision, Dahua and Inner Range gear is routine work for us.
Call 1300 153 645 and say that it is a fault. You get the direct number of the person who installed your system, not a call centre and a ticket number. Faults are treated as faults, not as new quote requests.
